Mekelle – University Based Anti Addiction Community Movement (UBAACM) 2025

Exciting progress in the fight against substance abuse! We had a highly effective strategic-level meeting on April 14th, 2025, at Yoha Hotel in Mekelle City, focusing on the National Higher Education anti-drug movement. Key discussions centered around substance abuse and drug demand reduction (DDR) initiatives at Mekelle University, under the umbrella of the University Based Anti Addiction Community Movement (UBAACM) 2025.

The UBAACM 2025 motto, ‘A healthy brain is the foundation for learning, teaching, and a thriving society!‘, underscores the importance of this work. This vital initiative is organized through the collaborative efforts of EFDA, MCDO, MoE, and Mekelle University (MKU).
